The King meets Miss Congeniality

Today I went to see the movie The Last King of Scotland. It is based on the true story of the crazed president of Rwanda. I thought that Forest Whitaker did an amazing job, and absolutely deserved the 18 awards he won for the movie. I did think it was very gory and violent, and not appropriate for children. But for adults who can handle that type of violence, I think they will enjoy it (and so did the other 350 people who had to be turned away from seeing the movie, because the theatre was full.)
After seeing his movie, David and I went straight to the Forest Whitaker Tribute. Then we met up with Alissa and interviewed him on the Red Carpet. He was very willing to talk to us and even expected us to ask him more questions! And to my great surprise and thrill Sandra Bullock thrilled me in showing up also. Alissa and I had the pleasure and honor to interview her before she was ushered away.
