Blood Diamond

Blood Diamond is a movie about the diamond mines in Sierra Leone, Africa. It’s about a fisherman whose village is attacked by rebels. He manages to save his family from the first attack, but in the process was captured. They decided to let him live and work in the diamond mine. When he finds a huge diamond, probably the size of your thumb, he doesn’t want to give it away. Fortunately, a water pipe breaks, and he has just enough time the hide the diamond between his toes. He tries burying it, but is caught by the head of the rebels and is forced to give the diamond back. Luckily the government had come to free the slaves. The man gets away and the diamond was buried. A white man overhears the talk of this huge diamond and decides to team up with the fisherman in order to find it. It seems hopeless to go all the way back to the diamond mines, but one man’s love for his family and another man’s love for money might be able to go along way.
