Margaret’s Scoop

Hey everyone!
So last night was the award for the Outstanding Performance of the Year, and I got to go! Helen Mirren received the award which was no surprise because she is an amazing actress who starred in the amazing film The Queen. The actual interview that led up to the award was a little long. Okay, it was kind of interesting cause it was about Helen Mirren and Roger was the head of the film festival, but still… Maybe why I was kind of bored was because I had gotten such a thrill out of interviewing Helen Mirren, Peter Morgan, and William H Macy!  Also it really helped that we were kids because it seemed like a relief that we weren’t jamming microphones into their faces. Helen Mirren definitely has a comedian side that I didn’t expect and likes to garden, while Peter Morgan really got into writing by writing essays for school! And William Macy is really thoughtful! I loved being able to talk to them and they were so nice!  We were able to give out our website cards so maybe they’ll check the website out!
So that was everything that happened last night, and today I went and saw Finding Kraftland which was surprisingly funny and really good! We ended up not going to Man in the Chair and I got to go home early to a nice warm house! But what was really cool was that I got to talk to Mark Moses, who plays Paul the stepfather of Zach on Desperate Housewives! I am such a big fan of the show and I still could not think of anything to say! I did finally ask who he had first become involved with Paul on Desperate Housewives. He said that he had previously worked with Marc Cherry, and wanted to be a part of something he did, and that when he heard of Desperate Housewives he had auditioned. Marc Cherry then gave him the part of Paul! Mark Moses had thought that he could make a funny role but it turned out they wanted him to be very serious. I would love to see Mark be able to do a funny role. Good luck, Mark!
I had a pretty good day except for the fact that it was pouring and really cold. The whole experience is definitely worth it!
