Synopsis
Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is a clever and talented self-employed man, whose business is less then booming and fails to pay the rent. In an attempt to better his job and his life, he applies for a competitive internship at a brokerage firm but struggles because there is no salary. Soon he and his family are evicted from their apartment. His wife leaves him to go to New York, leaving him and his son Christopher (Jaden Smith) to make what money they can in order to survive.  Gardner has a hard time at the internship because he must do in 6 hours what the other interns do in 9. But he keeps going, never abandoning his son, or the dream of a better life, in his pursuit of happyness.

Review
I really liked this movie, but I have to say it was a bit depressing. I thought it was different, but in a good way, because it never portrayed Chris Gardner as a victim. I mean, sure he was victimized, but he always fought through it and never gave up. I thought it had great characters and wonderful actors, but Jaden Smith was really amazing and almost stole the show. And, I didn’t get this till the second time I saw it, but it was really sweet and amazing that the reason Chris Gardner did all this was because he wanted a better life for his son.
