Hi my name is Eve and as you already know I attend SBMS.  I am 14 years old and I am a member of the teen press.  I am on the track team for the County of Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara girls traveling team for the 14 1’s team.  I am very athletic and love to go shopping, and do pottery in my spare time.

When I first heard about the global climate change I was shocked and afraid of what could happen to our planet.  In Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth, it really frightened me because Greenland is melting and in the next few years it could be gone.  If Greenland were to melt our water would rise and flood lots of the coastlines all throughout the world.  Millions of homes would be demolished, and many livelihoods could be threatened from the drastic changes of our ocean up rise.

I would like to help the world by reducing the amount of electricity I use every day and to carpool more often.  I really want to make a difference in the world so Global Warming can stop once and for all
