I just saw the two o'clock showing of "Letters To Father Jacob." It was the story of a women named Leila who was sent to jail for murder, but she gets a pardon request from unknown person. With nowhere to go she goes to live and work for blind Father Jacob. Most of her work consists of doing household chores and reading and responding to his letters. After a while, no one sends him letters anymore making him lonely and depressed. Feeling sorry for him, Leila makes up some letters for him to answer. On the last letter she tells of the murder she comitted. Her sister was being beaten by her husband just like Leila had been beaten by their mother. Her sister had always had always tried to defend Leila against their mother. Feeling her sister's pain, she ran in and stabbed her sister's husband. Leila thinks she has ruined her sister's life, but then Father Jacob hands her a huge stack of letters from Leila's sister. She soon finds out that she was the only person who understood her sister's pain. Her sister wishes to reunite with her but doesn't think there is much hope. While Leila walks in for tea with Father Jacob she discovers him lying on the floor, dead.

This film started off really slow and there were times where I felt like this film was a snoozer. Most of the movie consisted of her reading him letters and other chores. It came together really skillfully. The cinematography was excellent. I give this film a 2.5.
