Castaway on the Moon was about a man who wanted to commit suicide, but when he tried to jump off a bridge, he lands on a island in the middle of a river. Not knowing how to swim, he is stuck there. It was also about a reclusive woman who had not left her room for two years. Her hobby is to take pictures of the moon and, on certain occasions when there is nobody around, the city. On one of these special occasions, she accidentally takes a picture of the man. She is very interested in him and sends him a message in a bottle. He replies back in the sand. Overall, it shows how the man becomes attached to the island and how his friendship with the woman grows.

I really liked this film. It was a new take on filmmaking that I liked a lot. I thought it was very sweet and at the same time funny and a little bit sad. The two characters were so happy with each other even though they had no idea who they were. It showed how they coped with their different situations. It also had a lot of symbolism, like how the man was actually secluded from everybody, but the woman was mentally secluded because she holed herself up in her room.

I gave it a 4.5/5
