The Elephant in the Living Room is a very weird movie. It is a documentary about exotic animals that are kept as household pets and a man (Tim Harrison) who's job it is to re-capture these pets when they are released or escape. It particularly follows a man named Terry Brumfield who has two lions as pets. The movie follows these two men along their journey. Tim is trying to get Terry to let go of his lions because it would be better for the animals. Sadly, one of them dies from an electrical surge right after having cubs. Eventually, Terry allows his dearest friends to be taken from him and let out into an enclosure where the lions live happily.

This movie was very touching. It was full of very sad images and all the drama between everyone. I liked this movie a lot, but some of it didn't really seem relative. The movie mainly focused on Terry Brumfield, but it also shows Tim Harrison as he looks for escaped animals that he must take to zoos or else put to sleep. It was odd because most of the movie was about Terry, and there were only fleeting things about Tim. It was as if the movie was about two men who eventually meet each other, except that the men already knew each other. I don't know. Anyway, I think that it was really interesting and I liked it a lot.

I gave it a 4.5/5
