Goofyfoot is the story of a teenager who blames himself for the death of his brother who died in a surfing accident. Since then he has not gone to the ocean, and goes to a therapist. He has flashbacks to times during his childhood when he and his brother went out surfing, and it makes him realize nothing is his fault. It shows how close the two brothers were and how they stuck up for each other throughout their lives. Ultimately it is about whether he will get over his brother’s death and if he will ever move on.
It was filmed really well and truly gives perspective on the joys and dangers of a surfer. I would recommend it for anyone who appreciates surfing and the ocean.
