The Nutshell:
Mark Whitaker has worked in lysine development company DSM for many years climbing the career ladder from bio-chemist to vice president. New to the upper ranks of the company he learns of all the background information that comes with the high management of DSM, but nothing could have braced him for having to be an FBI informant in the DSM price fixing scandal. Mark is absorbed into his FBI role and starts to take it hilariously too serious. In the process he entangles himself in his own web of lies and his whole charade starts crashing down on him.
The Good:
The Informant! Is a funny, witty, and quirky in its own way. Matt Damon is great as are the other actors in this must see movie. This movie kept me laughing with hilarious inside-of-head-thoughts and kept me thinking with its clever and realistic look in to the business and industrial world.
The Bad:
I didn’t see many down sides to The Informant. A little confusing at times with multiple things going on at once and had that kind of need-to-watch-it-again feeling.
The Diagnosis:
This is not your typical comedy, which is why I think this is a must-see for its unpredictability and great acting. I give this movie a 4 out of 5 and I will surely be watching it again soon!
