Skateistan is a movie about skateboarding aid workers who go to to Afghanistan and discover the power of using wheels to make friends. The kids in Kabul were/are hungry for activities, and skateboarding turned out to be an amazing magnet for them. The aid workers ended up making a skate school for boys and girls, bringing both skateboards and skating professionals to Kabul, and finally building an indoor skating park to house an ongoing school.
The movie was very good in every way. I loved the characters and the story. The filming was excellent and it had some amazing images. The movie drew me in for the whole two hours. I would suggest it for 12 and older because of a little cursing, but over all it was very good.
