A Barefoot Dream is an inspiring story of how a man from Korea comes to East Timor to sell sports equipment. At first he trains the local kids and gives them equipment for $1 a day, but as the movie goes on and he sees how hard their lives are, they eventually grow on him and he trains them for free. Based on a true story, he eventually takes them to the youth soccer championships, where they win.

Overall I really liked this movie. It was well put together, it was touching and it had good soccer scenes put into it. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie because it was not really my genre. I don’t really like long movies, but this kept me very interested for the whole movie, and I was happy that I saw it. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

I gave this movie a 4.5/5
