Champion surfer, author, entrepreneur, speaker and father SHAUN TOMSON agreed to meet with the Teen Press. Shaun talked with reporters Kaleb and Laird about his experiences growing up, surfing on the North Shore, the values of The Surfer's Code, and looking forward. The interview turned into an energetic conversation--extending over 4 sections.

Here in Part 1, Shaun talks about growing up in South Africa, and what it's like in the tube, among other things.
