Blindsight Review

Six Tibetan teenagers climbing 21,000 feet up a
mountain, sounds pretty tough right. Yeah there’s
even more of a catch to it than that, they’re all blind
Erik Weihenmayer was the first blind human to climb up Mount Everest. That fact alone has made a huge impact on blind people everywhere. This film is specifically showing the place were blind people might be hated the most, Tibet. If you are blind in Tibet they believe you are a sinner and must have done something really bad in your past life. They are outcasts, but little did they know that was about to change. Sabriye Tenberken and Erik Weihenmayer plan out an expedition for these kids. It takes month of training and hard work but it might just pay off.
I loved this movie. I only have a couple of complaints, one being a thought it was a little slow paced. They could have moved the film along a little bit faster. I also had a hard time following the story. The jumped back and forth a lot and it’s hard to keep track when everything is happening. Other than that I thought it was a good movie. Sometimes throughout the movie you might have to keep reminding yourself that these kids are blind. I would go see this movie the next time it shows.
