Hi I'm Dylan with the Santa Barbara Middle School Teen Press, and I'm a new seventh grader here. 

I wanted to be in the Teen Press because my brother was in it for two years, and I heard about the great stories and fun people that the SBMS Teen Press has met and interviewed. Some favorite interviews include: Angelina Jolie, Javier Bardem, and Al Gore. I would like to accomplish many goals in the Teen Press, and one of them is work on building my confidence so that I can interview many interesting people. My dream interview would be to interview Ryan Sheckler who is a professional skater, or Nicol David who is the #1 female squash player in the world.  I like to spend my free time playing soccer, skateboarding, drumming with Boom Chaka, and hanging out with my friends. One random fact about me is that I have had hip surgery twice, and I still can play all kinds of sports. I think the SBMS Teen Press slogan should be:

"Be the change you wish to see" because that's what reporting on current happenings and inspiring others to take action is all about!
