The Movie:
Sugar (Directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck)
The Basics:
Miguel “Sugar” Santos is a minor league baseball player in the Dominican Republic who is recruited to play in the United States.
The Good News:
Seamlessly blends English and Spanish, interesting characters, and settings that made the movie more appealing. It was also very funny in some parts.
The Bad News:
Doesn’t have a clear plotline, or conflict. There were a few characters I would have liked to see more of.
The Verdict:
It was a mediocre movie, although funny in parts. I give it a three out of five.
