First Day at MacWorld

Today was day two in San Francisco. We drove down town to the Moscone Center where MacWorld was being held. As soon as we got out of the school van, we were confronted by people handing out brochures, stickers, and pins. I got a free t-shirt and was instructed to wear it during the convention. When we walked up to the Moscone center I was immediately surprised by its monstrosity. I felt like I was at an airport. The security told us to head over to “Media Registration” to redeem our press passes. It turned out they weren’t giving out press passes until a couple hours later, so we went down to the media room to check out some live blogging on the keynote. I was disappointed that Apple didn’t introduce a new cool gadget like the iPhone, but it was cool to see the new technology they came out with in iLife’09 and iWork’09.

When the doors opened to MacWorld, everybody herded in to see the latest things for Apple products. My group (Kendal, Eliana, and Me) slowly milled in with the crowd and got pushed through the open doors. Macworld was a sight to behold. We didn’t know where to go first. There were accessories, software, cameras, books, and a ton of really cool stuff. For at least an hour we explored as much as we could. Our group gathered pens, stickers, and pins that we used as “stylish” accessories. I felt like a walking advertisement.
