Hi my name is Caroline. I am a 7th grader at Santa Barbara Middle School. I am a Reporter for the “Power of Story” Santa Barbara Middle School Teen Press team.

Why I joined Teen Press?

I joined Teen Press because I really like to write about other people’s perspectives and to see the world through their eyes. I first learned about the Teen Press when I started here in sixth grade. It apparently was all the rage, and I am very fascinated with journalism. So this time, I applied! I am also very interested in interacting with other people and learning about them, as well as learning about what they do and how they might be making a difference.

About me!

One of the reasons why I think Teen Press will be good for me is that I am very outgoing and adventurous! I love to take risks and try new things! I am also very artsy, whether it’s theater or film or a paintbrush, I love it! I am not too sporty, but I like volleyball! Two of my favorite movies ar Cloud Atlas and Forrest Gump. I love Cloud Atlas because the way the story is put together in so many pieces never lets it get boring! I love Forrest Gump because it’s such an inspirational movie and I love how he is narrating the first half of the movie at the bus stop. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this exciting adventure!
