Hi! My name is Emily. I am in 7th grade at Santa Barbara Middle School, and a reporter for the “Power of Story” Team.

Why did I want to join Teen Press? I wanted be in the Teen Press because seemed like a really awesome experience. I think it so cool that 12 and 13-year-olds are given the chance to go out, interview stars, and get a taste of that lifestyle. It is amazing opportunity and I am really thrilled that I get to experience it.

A little about me: Outside of school, I do ballet. I have been doing it for 9 years now, and I just started pointe. I practice 5 times a week, and enjoy dancing in performances. I also like reading. I enjoy sitting down with a good book and wasting my time with it. And when I’m not doing either of those things, I like hanging out with my friends.

Interview that I liked: An interview that inspired me was the one with Jennifer Lawrence because she seemed really genuine and nice. She gave thoughtful answers, and seemed like a really cool person. I also thought that it was really awesome that the Teen Press gets the opportunity to interview people like her.

My verse: My verse is to try to be the best person I can be. I want to try hard to do my best in school and be nice to everybody.
