Hi, I’m Lulu. I’m a seventh grader at Santa Barbara Middle School, and this quarter I’m a Reporter for the “Power of Story” Santa Barbara Middle School Teen Press team.

I love to swim, run, laugh, write, and hang out with friends. I swim every day and am hoping to go to SoCal Junior Olympics with my team this year! When I’m not in the pool, I’m hoping to interview Oprah Winfrey with Teen Press, she seems like such an inspiring person, who has made such an impact on the world. Whatever I do this year, I hope to follow my passions and do what I love!

Films are one thing I’ve always loved, and so many amazing ones have come out this year. I will be especially excited to see The Butler (again) at the film festival. I’ve already seen this fantastic film, but I feel like I could watch it a thousand times, and still be fascinated with the detailed plot and complex ideas.

In The Butler, the main character, Cecil, had an important verse in the story of the White House, serving so many president’s during his service. I think my verse is in writing, I would like to become a famous writer when I grow up.
