Hi! My name is Nicole and I am part of the Santa Barbara Middle School Teen Press. I am in 7th grade.

Three things you must know about me are that I love the ocean, my favorite color is pink, and I have an obsession of chocolate. Some of my favorite hobbies include dancing, hanging out with friends, collaging, skiing, traveling, and meeting new people. I also really love music. My favorite song is “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield. I love this song because it gets me inspired and reminds me to always seize the day and love who I am no matter what anyone else has to say. Some of my favorite music groups are Coldplay, of Monsters and Men, Weezer, the Beatles, and Greenday. My favorite movies are Mean Girls, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Soul Surfer, and Mirror Mirror. One of my favorite quotes is “You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth.”

I decided to be in SBMS Teen Press so I could learn new things from others. I had heard it was really cool, and ever since I heard about Santa Barbara Middle School’s Teen Press I have wanted to be a part of it. I am really excited to stretch my comfort zone while interviewing people across California! My dream interviews would have to be Lucy Hale, Ariana Grande, Amanda Seyfried, Rebel Wilson and Sharon Creech. I would interview Lucy Hale, Ariana Grande, Rebel Wilson and Amanda Seyfried because besides being seriously hilarious and really sweet, they are also amazing actresses. They are some of my biggest role-models and I love watching shows and movies with them! I would interview Sharon Creech because she is my favorite writer and her books make me laugh, smile, and cry.

Although I am not yet sure what I want my career to be yet, I hope to change the world in my own little way, and make someone else’s day, every day.
